Dito sa office, a couple of my teammates ang naging reason ng break-ups nila with their boyfriends eh third party. Tapos, a couple of months back, nag-kwento yun friend ko tungkol sa isa pa nyang friend. Nasa ibang bansa yun boyfriend nya tapos sumunod sya dun, then pagdating nya dun,she learned na may third party na yun guy. Then a few weeks after that, yun isa ko naman friend ang nag-kwento tungkol dun sa high school friend nya, and eto ang masaklap talaga. Her friend and his girlfriend have been together for seven years, and he was planning to propose already this year. But then he found out that the girl has another boyfriend for a year already! So ang tagal na pala syang niloloko! At ang nakaka-inis pa dun, when he did something dahil sa sobrang galit nya, sya pa ang lumalabas na sobrang sama dun sa friends nun ex-girlfriend nya to think na sobrang laki ng kasalanan nun girl sa kanya! Ay grabe naman talaga.
Pero parang mas nakakatakot mag-pakasal. Kasi yun, sobrang daming changes mong pagda-daanan. It’s like you’re starting your life all over again, kasi syempre di ba, you’re going to re-arrange everything to include another person into your life then you’d start having your own family, so ang dami talagang adjustments and changes. Then after you’ve adjusted to your new life, one day bigla na lang maghi-hiwalay kayo. Parang mas masakit tsaka mas mahirap. Kasi you’ve already undergone so many things tapos mapupunta din pala sa wala ang lahat. Parang magsi-simula ka na naman ulit, changes ulit, tapos you have kids pa who you also have to think of.
Ang daming dahilan, third party, different principles, different ways of looking at life, religion, values, beliefs, ang dami talaga. Pero hindi ba, when you chose to be with someone, especially someone who you chose to spend the rest of your life with, you’d do everything to make the relationship work? You’d try to overcome all obstacles to save the relationship? Eh anong nangyayari? It seems to me that nowadays, people just give up at the first sign of trouble. It’s like putting together a broken crystal (Jela, familiar ‘to… hehehe), no matter how much effort you put into making it whole again, you can’t and you’d only bleed yourself in the process. Di ba parang mas mahirap naman yun? There are situations kasi when you just have to give up, not because you don’t want to be in that relationship anymore but because you simply just have to.
It seems that love has lost its value. It seems that it’s been turned into a game that people play and when they get tired of it, they’d just throw it away.

Hello? Tama bang ipaalala pa yun?! Hahaha!
It's not being nega naman about relationships, it's seeing beyond the mushy and cloud 9 expectations that we have about love and knowing na problems and conflicts would always get in the way of love. It's always painful, sometimes you fight for it, sometimes we give up. But still, we must always give love a chance.
As old cliches goes, it's better to have love and lost than be lost in your eyes. Oops, nag cut and paste ata ako ng 2 cliches! Sounds family pa din ba?! ;)
